Created And Blessed

In putting together our  list of what to look for in our future spouse, a lot of us probably scanned through the usual stuff: Christian, funny, compatible, money, caring, attractive, good sex etc.

One thing missing on almost every list is the issue of conflict. Our unpreparedness shows up mostly at the very beginning when all the euphoria dies down and we are confronted by the realities of the person we chose as a spouse. Despite how hard we get hit, conflicts are a fundamental part of marriage and unlike most conflicts in life, one can’t just walk away from marital conflicts

We always have to grapple with our points of disagreement and try to reach some level of mutually workable understanding. Every marriage is a little different though, but historical trends have shown that there are some exceeding commonalities in conflicts in marriages. Remember scripture says in Genesis‬ ‭5:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬ that: “Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.”

Created and blessed seeks to explore the blessings God has bestowed on marriages and to explore how best we can deal well with our differences with the right understanding of God’s word.

On The Road To Emmaus

In this program we will explore different passages of scripture. The focus of our discussion is summarized in Luke’s account of the two disciples on the road to Emmaus: “Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things about himself in all the scriptures”(Luke 24:27). We will take a thorough look at different passages from scripture and ask the question: “how would Jesus have interpreted this passage referring to himself?” Join us take a walk on the road to Emmaus!
